| Abstract: | The structure of franchetine, isolated as a minor constituent from the weak base fraction of Aconitum franchetii Fin. et Gagn., has been postulated to be 1 on the basis of chemical and spectral data (IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and MS). Franchetine is the first example of C19-diterpenoid alkaloids with a dihydropyrane ring moiety. |
