| Abstract: | The infrared and Raman spectra of C4H8CHCOOH, C4H8CHCOOD, C4H8CDCOOH, C4H8CDCOOD and their sodium salts were studied and frequency assignments made; the ring puckering vibrations were observed in the Raman spectrum. The depolarisation values show the existence of a plane of symmetry, perpendicular to the ring compatible with a “bent” structure. |
