| Abstract: | A high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) with UV detection was established for simultaneous determination of saponins in the leaf of Panax ginseng C. A. Mey. Nine ginsenosides(Rb1,Rb2,Rb3,Rc,Rd,F1,F2,F3,F5) and notoginsenoside Fe(NFe) were studied. Among the saponins,the ginsenosides F1,F2,F3,F5 and NFe were determined by HPLC-UV method for the first time.
