Abstract: | With several chloro ruthenium phosphine complexes, allyldifluorophosphite, F2POC3H5, displaces triphenylphosphine to form new compounds in which it acts as a phosphorus donor ligand. The new complexes PPh3]2F2POC3H5]RuCO]Cl]H], I, and (PPh3)2(F2POC3H5)2RuCl2]nII, hav characterized by chemical, spectroscopic, and, in the case of I, crystallographic means. This behaviour of F2POC3H5 contrasts to its reactions with several platinum and palladium chloro complexes where it undergoes Arbuzov-type rearrangements. |
