Abstract:he acrylamide microemulsion with the mixture of Span 20 and Tween 80 was initiated with γ ray. The polymerization kinetics were derived:R ∝E]-1.32D]0.55 AM]1.14;Mn∝E]-0.70D]-0.70AM]1.34. There is a constant rate period in microemulsion polymerization. In comparsion with the kinetics in other systems, it is known that it is easier to get partly crosslinked polymacrylamide at higher absorbed dose rate and higher monomer conent.
