Synthesis, crystal structure and properties of title moleculeare discribed. This crystal is monoclinic, belonging to space group P21 with a = 0. 9255(3) ,6 = 1. 0504(3) , c - 1. 0217(3)nm, P = 100.99(2), V = 0.9750nm3, Z = 2, Dc = 1. 790g/cm3, R=0.025. The structure was solved by direct method. The tin atom of the title molecule exists in a distorted- trigonal- bipyramidal geometry, defined by three carbon,one iodineand one oxygen atoms leading to a five - membered chelate ring. The x- ray analysis show that the title compound has the properties of substitution reaction with halogen rather than addition reaction.
