Abstract:Pressure behavior and pressure effect of dilute stabilizing agents in the thermal decomposition of organic peroxides were examined in a mini-closed pressure vessel test(MCPVT). The maximal pressure of thermal decomposition(P max) reduced when stabilizing agent was non-volatile, and P max increased when stabilizing agent was a volatile, and (dP/dt) max was reduced. The stabilizing effects of stabilizing agent on the thermal decomposition were evaluated with (dP/dt) max and K(K=(dP/dt) max,D/(dP/dt) max(D:dilute stabilizing agent). The order of K was BPO-H 2O
