| Abstract: | A series of thermotropic liquid crystalline copolyesters was synthesized by melt polycondensation from bis (4-hydroxyphenyl) methanone,terephthalic acid , p-hydroxybenzoic acid and aliphatic diols. The resulting copolyesters were characterized by WAXD, DSC and PLM.All the copolyesters formed a nematic phase. |
