Abstract:Seventeen benzopyran-4-urea, -thiourea and -cyanogunidine derivatives were synthesized as K + channel openers. Their structures were confirmed by IR, 1H NMR, MS and elemental analysis. Their vasorelaxant activities againat low (30 mmol/L ) KCl-induced contraction were preliminary evaluated on rat aorta in vitro. Some compounds synthesized(7c, 8a, 8b and 8c) were found exhibited some, but less, low concentration K +(30 mmol/L KCl) channel opening activity than Emakalim.
