Abstract:The lightly sulfonated poly(phenylene oxide)(SPPO) ionomers in DMSO/CHCl3 mixed solvents were emulsified by water to form a series of waterborne microemulsions. The effect of the solvent polarity on the phase inversion in the emulsion system has been investigated in relation to the conductivity, viscosity and surface tension of SPPO solution.
