Abstract:The effects of heat-treatment of carbon on the oxygen electrode for PEMFC were investigated. The particle size of Pt and the structure of carbon in the catalyst were measured by TEM and XRD. The results showed that the performance of the oxygen electrode was improved after heat-treatment of carbon. The reasons were attributed to the reduction in Pt size and conductivity of the carbon black.
