Pressure-induced compressible Newtonian flow in a slit

The steady two-dimensional pressure-induced compressible flow of a Newtonian fluid between two fixed parallel planes is considered. Assuming that the width of the slit is much smaller than its length we advance a perturbation theory and obtain simple analytical results with the well-known incompressible formulae as a limiting case.
