Numerical simulation on interface coupling of rotary slender pipe and fluid in cylinder

Rotary slender pipe in cylinder is a special structure in the oil engineering. It contacts with the outer cylinder, and interacts with its inner pipe fluid and outer annular fluid. It's a complex system of nonlinear fluid-structure interaction. In the paper, the slender pipe is discreted to beam elements along axial line, and described as nolinear kinetic equations of impact contact. The fluids are discreted to hexahedron elements, and described as CFD equations. The ALE method is used to track kinetic interface. Based on the shape functions of beam element, force and displacement interpolation between non-matching meshes at interface is derived. The partitioned coupled dynamic model and numerical method are established. Numerical results show that the rotary slender pipe with its fluids has a strong coupled phenomenon.
