| Abstract: | In this paper,a new viewpoint of defination of Poisson ration for steel cord in cord-rubber composites is proposed.It is suggested that the transverse strain of the steel sord should be replaced by the section varying ratio of the cord.An exper imental method by using scanning electronic microscope to measure the section variable ratio of the cord is described. |
