Abstract: | We report the properties of graphene oxide, a two-dimensional carbon nanomaterial, as a substrate for surface-enhanced Raman scattering. The graphene oxide substrate produced Raman enhancement for rhodamine 6G, melamine, and cephalexin. Intense characteristic D and G peaks of graphene oxide were observed when positively charged rhodamine 6G and melamine were used as the Raman probe. We attribute the appearance of D and G peaks to the aggregation of negatively charged graphene oxide. |
