一种稀土离子发射截面的计算方法

摘    要:介绍一种将McCumber理论和Judd-Oflet理论结合起来计算稀土离子从激光发态跃迁回基态的发射截面的方法,这种方法非常简单,只需要测量离子的吸收光谱。计算了氟化物玻璃中稀土离子Tm3 ,Yb^3 和Er^3 第一激发态的发射截面,其结果表明这种方法是很实用的。

Abstract:A method to calculate the emission cross section of rare earth ions was introduced based on the combination of the McCumber theory with Judd Oflet theory. The method is very simple and only needs to measure the absorption spectra. The emission cross sections of Tm 3+ , Yb 3+ and Er 3+ ions from the first excited state to the ground state were calculated in this way. The results indicated that the method is practical.
