| Abstract: | STM is a new microscopical technique which makes use of various local interactions between the end of a probe and the atoms at the surface of the sample to study the atomic and electronic structure of the surface. Its appearance is considered by scientists as a revolution in the analytical technique of surface science and surface phenomena. |
