| Abstract: | The amorphization of Fe−Zr multilayers due to ion-beam mixing and solid state reaction is studied in detail using the CEMS
and CXMS. The nature of the amorphous Fe−Zr phase produced by both processes is the same suggesting that diffusion of Fe is
an important mechanism during ion-beam mixing. |
