塑料光纤的远场辐射图和微分模式损耗研究

摘    要:通过观察塑料光纤远场辐射图,分析了阶跃型塑料光纤中的模式耦合效果.实验结果表明,阶跃型塑料光纤的模式耦合效果很明显,模式耦合从光纤传输5米左右开始发生,到传输20~30 m时,模式耦合完成,光纤末端能量分布达到稳态.采用剪断法测量了塑料光纤的微分模式损耗,发现微分模式损耗随着模阶的增加而增加,大多数模阶的微分模式损耗在150~180 dB/km范围内.

Abstract:The mode coupling effect for SI-POF is studied by observing its far field radiation pattern. The results show that a transmission distance of 5 m is enough to start the mode coupling. The equilibrium mode distribution condition is established after transmitting for about 20~30 m. Differential mode attention of the same SI-POF is measured using the cut-back method. It is found that the attenuation increased with the increasing mode order. Most of the mode′s attenuation is determined to be about 150 ~180 dB/km.
