摘    要:应用提拉法生长出不同Yb3+浓度的Yb3xY3(1-x)Al5O12晶体.Yb3+离子的分凝系数1是1.08±0.01,与Yb3+离子掺杂浓度无关.研究了Yb3xY3(1-x)Al5O12晶体的晶胞参量,推导出联系晶胞参量、密度与Yb3+离子掺杂浓度的关系方程式.

A Study on Lattice Parameters of Yb3+-doped Yttrium Aluminium Garnets and Distribution Coefficients of Yb3+

Abstract:Recently, Yb3+ doped solid state materials are attractively used as gain media for high efficiency, high power laser. Among the numerous Yb3+-doped crystals, Yb:YAG has many other attractive characteristics such as high thermal conductivity, excellent physical and chemical properties of the host material. The trivalent ytterbium ion’s simple ;Xe=4f13 electronic structure allows for no excited state absorption, upconversion or low concentration quenching even at high doping concentration of Yb3+ ions. The lattice parameters of Yb:YAG crystals with different Yb3+ ion concentrations and the distribution coefficients of Yb3+ were investigated. The results show that the distribution coefficient of Yb3+ is a fixed numerical value, and has little relation with Yb3+ concentration. The lattice parameters decrease and their densities increase with increasing of Yb concentration and the related equations were given.
