Abstract:Return signals scattered off an object is the basic data source in target-in-the-loop-type systems.In numerical simulation the localization area of the scattered field rapidly expands with propagation distance and reaches the numerical grid boundary a relatively short distance from the object.Generally spatial filtering would be a solution that the propagation path is separated to several parts,and the complex field is multiplied by a masking function after each part propagation.A novel numerical simulation method of propagation of diffused reflection optics is derived.This method is based on frequency filtering that the optical complex field would be filtered in frequency domain before the propagation calculation.The simulation result of the frequency filtering method is consistent with the result of the spatial masking method.Imaging propagations both with and without atmospheric turbulence are simulated using the new method.The imaging resolve angular radius in different situations is found to agree well with the theory analysis.
