| Abstract: | In this paper it is presented that an acoustic model of the Chinese woodwind reed instrument Sheng and applies the circuit ideas to its component parts. The condition for sounding is obtained from the small-vibration analysis. The calculation of transfer functions gives rise to the transmission characteristics of the Sheng pipe. Based on the analysis the acoustic spectra are given and discussed. |
