Raman Spectroscopic Study of The Effects of Free Radicals on Erythrocyte Membrances |

| Abstract: | Abstract In this paper Raman spectra have been used to study the peroxida-tive damage of free radicals on human erythrocyte membranes. Compared to normal red cell membranes， the lateral fluidity of the membranes damaged by free radicals decreased． Raman spectrum of erythrocyte membranes in which one kind of Chinse medicine－fructus liRustri lucidi was first added was also ex-amined.The 1528 cm~(-1) band attribiJtaHe to u（C=C） increased in intensitycompared to the membranes without thp medicine. It indicated that（fructus ligustri luidi）can clear away free radicals and protect the membranes. |
