Raman Spectra of 2 (4 isobutyl phenyl) propionic acid

Abstract We have measured and investigated the Raman spectra of C 13 H 18 O 2 (SPANSULE CAPSULAE IBUPROFENI).For the first time the main bands at 832 cm -1 , 1204cm -1 were assigned to cyclic vibrations. The band at 1180 cm -1 was assigned to a cyclic breathing vibration. The band at 1606 cm -1 belongs to CC stretching vibration. The band at 2866cm -1 belongs to CH 2 symmetric stretching vibration and the band at 2918 cm -1 is due to CH 2 antisymmetric stretching vibration. The band at 2954 cm -1 belongs to CH 3 antisymmetric stretching vibration. The band at 3046 cm -1 was assigned to CH stretching vibration.
