Application of Laser Raman Spectrum in the Research of Carotenoids

This article gives brief introduction on the composition,features and functions of carotenoids;the application of laser Raman spectrum in the measurement of carotenoids density.As a natural color widely used,carotenoids plays an important role on the prevention of some human diseases,especially cancer.Raman spectrum technique is widely used as an analysis and testing method which is quick,non-defective,safe and requires few samples.With its particular chain structure,carotenoids is easy to show strong Raman signals.Raman spectrum will inevitably have its own broad space of development in this field with the research of fuctions of carotenoids and the development and application of relevant products.
