Application of FT Raman Spectroscopy in the Study of Polymer Structure
Abstract:Abstract This review was intended to show the increasing contributions of laser Raman spectroscopy to the elucidation of polymeric structure since the introduction of the near infra red laser excited Fourier transform Raman technique. In a number of studies to date, recent development in FT Raman spectroscopy, the near IR resonance Raman effect, and FT surface enhanced Raman scattering have made it possible to record fluorescence free spectra from synthetic polymers and biomaterials and have brought about tremendous enhancement in Raman intensity, genrating much excitement both in the acade mic community and in the industrial laboratory.
