Abstract:A pure diffractive optical Fourier transform system used for several wavelengths is designed. In the system two kinds of diffractive elements are successfully adopted: an ordinary modulo 2π diffractive optical element with no optical power is used to correct the spherical aberration and get the largest space bandwidth product; a harmonic diffractive optical element is designed to realize Fourier transform for multicolor light. Compared to the traditional optical Fourier transform system, this novel system can acquire better performance with much simpler structure, and more prospective application in optical signal processing system and integrated optics.
