Abstract:The dynamics of a two-level atom trapped in harmonic potential are studied in the Lamb-Dicke Limit. It is shown that the distribution of nonclassical spatial state of the atomic centre-of-mass motion will spread in evolution process when the atom is initially in a nonclassical spatial Fock state |nb>. The temporal evolution of the atom in a nonclassical spatial state (Fock state) |nb〉is also given.
