| Abstract: | Momentum resolved inverse photoemission spectra from Ni(0 0 1) are presented. The experimental dispersion of direct transitions are in good agreement with predictions from a recent band structure calculation and with results from spectra calculated on the basis of a one step theory. Comparison of the present data with earlier normal incidence spectra collected with a different experimental setup reveals a very strong polarization effect. |
