Abstract:The IR spectroscopy of trialkylphosphine oxide were investigated by FI IR.This paper describes the infrared absorption peaks of TRPO and indicates that the industrial grade TRPO contains water and fatty acid.The solvent extraction of natric acid by TRPO and organic phase studied by IR indicated that the acid content increased in organic phase,the P=O stretching disappeared at the presence of HNO 3 (>0.5mol/L) .The solvent extraction of rare earth element(La) and organic phase were studied by IR indicated that infrared absorption peaks of P=O stretching shifted obviously to lower frequency for 27cm -1 .IR absorption at 3370cm -1 peak was discussed and recognized as belong to OH polymer with TRPO by H bond.
