Abstract:A 3D Navier-Stokes solver FINE/Turbo is used to numerically simulate the flow fieldsof a rotor cascade. Nearly 490 thousand grid points are used in this study in order tocapture detail flow structures. Comprehensive comparisons to the test results are made toverify the accuracy of the software. The results show that the software can be used to solvethe flow fields of straight cascade efficiently. Detail flow phenomena and three-dimensionalcharacteristics are revealed and its connections to total pressure losses are studied.
