Abstract: | A technique of expanding arbitrary functions of two variables in separable terms is applied to nuclear single-particle potentials, and a method for high-speed calculation of the eigenstates of the Hamiltonian has been developed. The applicability of the scheme, for spherical as well as highly eccentric shapes. is demonstrated for a sequence of two-centered potentials. |
