Abstract:Employing the quantized discrete self-trapping equation, we calculate the stretching vibrational energy spectrum of CH 4 until total quantum number n =6. The calculate values agree well with the known observed spectrum. These results are very useful in investigating more general dynamical behaviour of CH 4 system.
