Abstract:Using the experimental apparatus,we studied the influencing law of the pre-loading in reducing the levitation force decay during the relaxation.The main research object consisted of a three-seed rectangular Y-Ba-Cu-O bulk above a magnetic rail derived from Halbach structure,and the influencing law of cooling condition,levitation height and pre-loading height was investigated by changing those factors.We further selected the 30 mm field-cooling height and 15 mm levitation height as a typical case,and studied the influence of magnetic field distribution and material property on the levitation force relaxation under the pre-loading in that typical case by changing the magnetic rail and Y-Ba-Cu-O bulk.We found that,after the pre-loading,the levitation force decay during the relaxation was totally suppressed in every working condition considered.And moreover,the time evolution of the levitation force displayed an obvious rise especially for a low pre-loading position.However,the levitation force that Y-Ba-Cu-O bulk could provide was also reduced in varying degrees according to the pre-loading position.
