| Abstract: | The relationship between structures and optical properties of organic molecular third-order nonlinear optical materials is reviewed according to the structures of molecules.The calculations of third-order nonlinear polarizability are introduced.The principle of molecule design is analyzed and the direction of the development of organic third-order nonlinear optical materials is forecasted. |
