Discusion between the quality of optical fiber end face and optical property

Permeability of optical fiber is one of the improtant features in optical fiber image transmitting.The facters to affect optical fiber permeability include:the quality of fiber core,the geometric defect,the quality of optical fiber end.The cutting and the lifetime of the grinding material affect quality of the end.The factors to affect permeability of optical fiber were discussed: the reflection loss of optical fiter end,the control of reflection at the optical fiber end,the geometrical figure on the permeability,the change of the refractive index,the control of the alkalinity of the polish solution.The permeability of the optical fiber can be improved by the control of the process in manufactureing optical fiber and further refining at the optical end.
