| Abstract: | AAmplified spontaneous emission measurements for three types of erbium-doped silica ffibers are presented. The characteristic parameters of these fibers was previously oobtained employing gain and pump power measurements. A theoretical model for eerbium-doped silica fiber amplifiers is evaluated and its scarcities are analyzed bby mmeans of a comparison between experimental and theoretical results for gain and ccopropagating amplified spontaneous emission. |
