| Abstract: | The general correlation factor for the two dimensional and the quasi two dimensional electron gas is presented based on the Bohm Pines theory.The pair correlation function,the exchange energies and the correlation energies of electrons in the AlxGa1-x As GaAs quantum wells are obtained employed the correlation basis function method. |
