On the size of Edge-Chromatic critical graphs |

| Abstract: | A conjecture of V.G. Vizing states that if G is a Δ-critical graph of order ? and size m, thenm ≥ 1/2(n(Δ - 1) + 3). This conjecture has been verified for Δ ≤ 4 by I.T. Jakobsen, L.W. Beineke, S. Fiorini and H.P. Yap. In this paper, we prove the conjecture for Δ = 5. |
