Using Statistical Methods in Checking and Appraising Students' Work and Examination Systems

This artical applies multivariate Hotelling T 2 test and one variable t test methods to analyse and appraise students′ work of two groups in a college. A living example is used to illustrate the reasonableness of the reforming plan of examination systems featuring the rescinding make up examinations and improving repeated study courses. It also shows that the reform is effective and applicable. This artical also makes a preliminary effort in processing ill conditioned data.
