| Abstract: | Lagrange's interpolation formula is generalized to tangential interpolation. This includes interpolation by vector polynomials and by rational vector functions with prescribed pole characteristics. The formula is applied to obtain representations of the inverses of Cauchy-Vandermonde matrices generalizing former results. |
