| Abstract: | After reading an article entitled "A New Convergence Test for Series of Positive Terms" a note is given. First,in the note a conclusion of the article is completely denied. Second,the author points out that the root test is more "powerful" than the new test. That is,whenever the root test is inconclusive,so is the new test. But there is an example where the new test fails and the root test is conclusive. Therefore,the root test has wider scope. |
