| Abstract: | The exact form of the exterior problem for plane potential problems is produced and fully proved by the variation principle. Based on this, the equivalent boundary integral equations (EBIE) with indirect variables, which are equivalent to the original boundary value problem, are deduced rigorously.The conventionally prevaliling boundary integral equation with indirect variables is discussed thoroughly by some examples andit is showed that the previous result is not EBIE. |
