| Abstract: | Let X=l1+l2. Denote by L(X) the Banach algebra of all bounded linear operators on X and by S (X) the strictly singular operator ideal in L(X).This article shows that the operator ideal (L,S) (X) introduced by Gonzalez and Martinon in 3] is nontrivial. that (L,S )(X) is larger than S(X), and that (L,S) (X) and the class of Riesz operators R (X) do not contain each other. |
