| Abstract: | In this paper we investigate the superconvergence phenomenonof the second-order quadrature formula of Newton–Cotestype for the computation of finite-part integrals with a second-ordersingularity on an interval. Superconvergence points are foundand a superconvergence estimate is obtained. The validity ofthe theoretical result is demonstrated by numerical experiments. |
