On the solvability of the systems of equations arising in implicit Runge-Kutta methods

In this paper we present a new condition under which the systems of equations arising in the application of an implicit Runge-Kutta method to a stiff initial value problem, has unique solutions. We show that our condition is weaker than related conditions presented previously. It is proved that the Lobatto IIIC methods fulfil the new condition.
