Abstract:The initial-boundary value problem for hyperbolic equation in two-dimensional domain with moving boundary is studied. The semi-discrete and full discrete finite element approximations are suggested, and the stability of the latter is proved. By the use of the priori error estimate technique for differential equation such as changing space variable and introducing elliptic projection, the optimal L2-norm and H1-norm convergence results are obtained.
