An equilibrium model of resource scarcity

A new equilibrium model of resource scarcity is discussed, whose solution is the intersection point of two maps: the gradient (subgradient) of the sensitivity function of a convex programming problem and the gradient (subgradient) of an a priori given resource cost function. In fact, we compute the equilibrium consumption volumes of resources with equal internal and external marginal costs. The proposed method of computing the equilibrium solution of the model reduces to solving a saddle-point problem. Convergence of the proposed method is proved.
