| Abstract: | AbstractThe spectrum of surface polaritons in a dielectric at a boundary with an ideal metal or a super-conductor in crossed constant electric and magnetic fields is studied. It is shown that the polariton spectrum possesses strong nonreciprocity (polaritons with fixed frequency propagate only in one direction; this is the rectification effect) and depends strongly on the directions of the external fields and their ratios H 0/E 0. |
