| Abstract: | Summary A novel procedure had been developed for the preparation of RP packings. A C18 alkyl-chain was bound onto spherical silica (particle size dp=5 μm, s=300 m2g−1) with glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane as coupling agent. Elemental analysis, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and chromatographic evaluation confirmed the bonding of the packings and their RP behavior. |
